REVIEW: Lush Shampoo Cake Honey I Washed My Hair!

Hi!
Today's post is a another review!
I hope you guys like these reviews, because I enjoy writing them (although this is the second time I am writing this post).
Hope you like it!

Ok, this isn't really how it is supposed to look like, but this is what happened to my first shampoo cake.
It worked amazing and I loved it, but at the end it ended up looking like this...
So I contacted Lush, and they sent me a new one and some other goodies:) Thank you for being so lovely!

Honey I Washed My Hair Shampoo Cake:
Been using these shampoo cakes since March, and I do really like them.
I have only tested "Honey I Washed My Hair" by Lush, and the scent of it is just amazing! Now I don't really know how to describe the scent, quite sweet I guess.
I also love how long these last. The first one lasted me 5 months, might even have lasted for longer if it was all weird in the end. They also are very compact and can be taken on a plane, no need to worry about how much liquid you can take with you.

Pros:
*Compact and small.
*One shampoo cake lasts for quite a long time.
*Can easily be taken on planes, no need to worry how much liquid you can take.
*Smells amazing.
*Lathers up nicely and makes your hair smooth and clean.
*Lush have many different shampoo cakes for different hair types, in many different scents.

Cons:
*Sometimes shampoo cakes and other products by Lush can happen to contain too much of some ingredient or something like that, (like what happened with my last shampoo cake), but I don't really mind it. Because I know it is all natural and handmade, and you can easily just email them and get a new one.

Using Coconut Oil As A Hair Mask- My Experience

I decided to use coconut oil as a hair mask, because I was curious how well it would work and how moisturising it would be; and this is what happened.
(I didn't really read up about this, maybe I should have...)

I used extra virgin coconut oil, soaked my hair in it (tried to only put it in the lengths of my hair, but I kind of got it nearly in all of my hair except for my roots...), and then left it in way too long (20-30 min), but really I should have left it in for about 5 minutes!
So it didn't really work out how I wanted it to...

After rinsing it out:
My hair feels so wet, and it has felt like this for a while now.
I didn't wash my hair with conditioner, because I felt like I didn't really need to.
I am going to wait until tomorrow, see if it feels oily then, and decide if I should wash my hair again then.
Good night!

Day 1:
10:00 AM:
I just got out of the shower, and I washed my hair twice with conditioner, because it felt like it helped. We will see when my hair has dried.
When I woke up my hair looked wet, because it was so oily!
I was not impressed...
Fingers crossed washing my hair again worked!
11:30 AM:
I just rinsed my hair of with water, because it was still oily, but I did help a bit to wash my hair again. But it still is and looks oily. This "coconut oil hair mask" was probably not such a good idea...
1:00 PM:
The hair on the top of my head, near my roots, as well as the ends are not oily at all any more. It's just the lengths of my hair.
My hair still looks wet and feels wet too:(
(It's not how I want MY hair to look like).
4:00 PM:
I just took I shower because I was out exercising. I didn't wash my hair again, I just rinsed it with water. I also noticed that it's just the "middle" of my hair that is oily.
19:30 PM:
My hair doesn't look that wet any more... but it does feel damp.
On the positive side it's shiny, right now I think it will take a few more days/ washes until my hair will be completely coconut oil free :(
Day 2:
10:30 AM:
My hair has "dried" a bit overnight, but it is still oily here and there.
Otherwise, my hair feels just a little bit softer than usual.
I will update you tomorrow!
Day 3:
I can't see or feel any coconut oil in my hair anymore!
To be honest, I can't really tell a difference after using the coconut oil in my hair.
But, it was probably good for my hair anyway.
If I would do this again, I would just put coconut oil in the ends of my hair, but if I get any tips on what I could do better when using coconut oil as a hair mask, then maybe I would it again.

Some tips and tricks (from what I experienced):
* Try to only get the coconut oil in the ends and maybe a bit in the lengths of the hair.
*Don't leave it in for long!

I know this post is basically me complaining over my oily coconut hair, but I hope somebody reading this will find this interesting, educational and maybe even would want to try this for themselves.
Also, if anyone reading this has tried this, please comment some tips and your experience, and if I did something wrong (except for probably leaving it in for too long)!

EMPTIES Winter-Spring 2016 + Mini Reviews + The Misses...

Hi!
I have been looking forward to making this post, because I have never done a empties post before! Also, it takes a while to collect enough empties to actually make a post about them.

Sensodyne Fresh Gel Toothpaste:
This is the toothpaste I always use, it works well, and I don't really have anything else to say about it.

You can get it here:
www.apotea.se/sensodyne-fresh-gel

Would I repurchase it?
Yes.

Pepsodent White Now Gold Triple Power:
Nooo!
I got this in my March Glossybox, I am pretty sure, and I DON'T like it.
It is quite a affordable toothpaste, so if it worked it would have been good, but no. This stained my toothbrush blue, and also my teeth a few minutes after I used this!
I didn't not notice any difference at all, even though it claims to have a whitening-effect...
(This was a big miss!)

You can get it here:
www.luxplus.co.uk/product/pepsodent

Would I repurchase it?
Nope, not going to happen!

The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter:
This body butter is in the mini size, and in the scent coconut.
And I love the scent! It smells like coconuts, and only coconuts, not artificial or anything like that.
This is a very thick cream for the body, which doesn't really soak in, so it's amazing for dry skin!
I use this before I go to bed, because it's so thick.

You can get it here:
www.thebodyshop.co.uk

Would I repurchase it?
Yes, but not atm, because I have 4 others to use up ;)

Locobase Repair Cream:
This is a special cream for dry skin, which I have used as a hand cream.
But now, I have found another cream, which is actually a hand cream (this can be used not only for the hands).
It is the body shop's hand creams, they smell good and soak in super fast, and they do the job.
This cream is thick, doesn't smell anything but it does what it is supposed to, so I prefer the body shop's hand creams. They are actually cheaper than this cream!

You can get it here:
www.farmaline.uk

Would I repurchase it?
I probably won't, because I found a dupe.

Maybelline New York Babylips in Melon Mania:
The first babylips I have actually used up! You do get quite a lot of product in this.
It smelled kind of sweet and fruity like melons, but I didn't really have any colour, it was just glossy.
It disappeared from the lips quite fast, and it didn't moisturise the lips that much.

You can get it here:
www.boots.com/en

Would I repurchase it?:
No, because I have so many babylips, and I would buy "Cherry Me" if I had to repurchase another one.

Lush American Cream Conditioner:
This conditioner worked really well, and it smelled really good too. After using this you can really smell it in your hair. It worked really good for my long hair, and Lush is a natural brand as well, and that's great! (I always try to use more natural hair care for the hair, will probably make a separate post all about my opinion about this).
It is not that cheap, but if you want good haircare, you most likely need to pay more for it.
Right now I am using the body shop's banana conditioner, which works as good as this.
(Remember that if you have any empty lush products (not testers), clean them out, and save them! Because if you give Lush 5 empty, clean products, you can get a fresh face mask for FREE!)

You can get it here:
uk.lush.com/products/american-cream

Would I repurchase it?
Probably!

The Body Shop Papaya Shower Gel:
I don't have that much to say about this, since I didn't use it... my mum did, but I tried it, and it smells good and it's moisturising. I do have quite a few shower gels from the body shop and I really like them:)

You can get it here:
Unfortunately they have discontinued this (as well as the chocomania series), but I have seen these "discontinued" products pop up in the actual stores as limited edition, like chocomania, vineyard peach, papaya, blueberry, passionfruit, etc.
So keep your eyes peeled in your nearest The Body Shop store!
Link to all the other shower gels: www.thebodyshop.co.uk

Would we repurchase it?
If we found it, we probably would.

Mini Depend Nail Polishes:
These are in the shade (left to right) 399, 202 and 421.
The reason I am getting rid of these because they have dried up, but they are quite cute, and nice nail polishes that are 5-free which is amazing!

You can get them here:
399: Can't find it:(
202: www.depend.se
421: www.depend.se

Would I repurchase it?
Yes, but only the shade 399.

Mini Depend Base and Top Coat:
Protective base coat 079:
It is better than nothing, but I wouldn't recommend it.

You can get it here:
www.depend.se

Would I repurchase it?
Nope.

Quick & shine top coat 080:
No!
This is a miss!
It's just like applying another layer of thick nail polish on top of your actual nail polish.

You can get it here:
www.depend.se

Would I repurchase it?
No.

April Glossybox "Face On"!

Hi!
I was so excited for this box!
The concept of this box was skincare and stuff that would lighten up the face for spring, so the box is called "Face On".
And I am really looking forward to using the products I got, and as usual, the review will be at the end of next month as well as the unboxing of the month's box:)
Let's do it!

(Congratulations to Felicia Noelle Donkor for winning the contest to be on the April glossy mag!)

Benefit Dew The Hoola:
What glossybox says:
Create a temporary tanned complexion with this bronzer by Benefit.
The products blends seamlessly in to the skin and gives a natural look with a lovely glow!
Apply after cleansing, on foundation if wanted.

What I think:
Yay! Benefit!
Always fun to receive something from Benefit, or other brands like this.
I am really hoping this will work well, since it is new and many beauty gurus are talking about it so....!
The only thing I would say is that I wish that the mini size (that I got) would be rose gold as the full size.

Full size 310 kr/ 26 £/ 38 $ for 30 ml.

BlowPro Heat is on Protective Daily Primer:
What glossybox says:
Prepare your hair for styling with this strengthening primer.
The hair is protected and maintains a healthy glow all day.
Great for improving the result of blow-drying!
Apply to towel-dried hair and blow-dry as usual.

What I think:
A hair product! I am so excited for this, and I am definitely going to be trying it out.
It's basically a heat protection spray for especially blow-drying, and is also a styling product.
Really excited!

Full size 135 kr/ 11.50/ 16.50 for 250 ml.

Hey Honey Good Morning Honey Silk Facial Serum:
What Glossybox says:
Light and luxurious serum that revitalizes the skin. Nourishing ingredients like honey, amino acids, sea buckthorn oil and vitamin E provide a intensely moisturised skin that radiates. Can be used as a primer under makeup for a
perfect finish.

What I think:
This is a skincare product that is high end, and that's pretty good! Even though it is a mini size.
Sounded good, and I am excited to use it:)

Full size 340 kr/ 29 £/ 42 $ for 30 ml.

Unani Dermo Defense Face Mask:
What glossybox says:
Great moisturising facial mask that provides the skin with extra nutrition while the skin is cleaned of impurities. Use 1-2 times a week. Smooth evenly over cleansed skin and leave for 10 minutes.

What I think:
I haven't got a single face mask in my glossyboxes since I subscribed! So, fun to receive one to try. This is a full size product, which smells kind of fruity and fresh.
Another one I am excited for!

Full size 160 kr/ 14 £/ 20$ for 100 ml.

Beauty Formulas Australian Tea Tree Spot & Blemish Patches:
What glossybox says:
Treat acne effectively with these transparent, small patches! Just apply them directly on to the blemish.
Contains tea tree-oil that has antibacterial and antiseptic properties. You can leave the patch on over night for a better result.

What I think:
I really hope these don't smell too much of tea tree, because I am not the biggest fan of that smell.
If they smell too much I will probably get a head ache, but otherwise, it will be very fun to try!

36 patches for 39 kr/ 3.30 £/ 4.80 $.

All Of My Lush Products!

So, I have finally got around to doing this post!
If you didn't already know, I love Lush!
They make incredible products for your hair and body, for showers and baths, and the products that I have smell amazing!
Their products ingredients contain less chemicals and more good and organic/fair trade stuff, and they also focus on making our planet a better place.
(Not sponsored)

250 g
Lush American Cream Conditioner:
What Lush says about it:
A milkshake-thick conditioner with a strawberries and cream fragrance to leave your hair soft and shiny. Fresh strawberries help cleanse the hair, and are rich in vitamin C. We've added a splash of orange juice to add gloss too, since its acidity makes the hairs' cuticles lie flat and allows it to reflect more light. To top it off, this contains soothing clary sage and calming lavender for your scalp.
What I think about it:
This is my absolute favourite conditioner.
It smells like a strawberry milkshake, with a bit of sage in it, and it's not too sweet.
It leaves my hair feeling moisturised and shiny, and you can kind of smell it after as well.

115 kr/ 9.25 £/ 13 $ for 250 g.

Lush Honey I Washed My Hair Shampoo Bar:
What Lush says about it:
Deliciously toffee-scented, this syrupy sweet bar will make your hair turn heads (and noses). Honey is renowned for adding softness and shine to locks. To top it all off uplifting sweet wild orange and bergamot oils create an aroma that transports your troubles away.

What I think about it:
I have only used this twice, so I can't say that much about it.
But I can say that it smells really good!
I think it smells fresh, but still sweet, and it's a good balance of both.
Anyways, it has worked really well so far.

69 kr/ 6 £/ 8 $

You've Been Mangoed Bath Oil:
What Lush says about it:
Good dull day all. Amongst your inventory I'm led to believe is a zesty specimen I'm keen to acquire, with the butter of mango and avocado. Release an outlaw of tropical proportions when you free lemon, lemongrass and lime oils in your bath. Yet to be mangoed? It's time to liberate your senses and try this bright orange and green bath oil.

What I think about it:
This is a solid bath oil in a mango scent, and I have already used half of it.
Lush have made a new You've Been Mangoed bath oil, that is orange and green.
So this is a older one, that Lush made before the newer one.
It smells softly of mango, and it's nice and moisturising.
The bar is quite small, but I think the newer one is bigger.

23 kr/ 2 £/ 3 $

Peeping Santa Bubble Bar/ Bubbleroon:
What Lush says about it:
A Santa shaped bubble bar sandwiched together with cocoa butter and shea butter and fragranced with strawberry-sweet bergamot and geranium oils.
What I think about it:
I don't know if you noticed, but I have used half of the hat already.
I kind of don't want to use it, because it's so cute and they might not bring this out next x-mas.
(Because this is one of their x-mas products).
The smell doesn't really have anything to do with x-mas, because it smells like strawberry's, but I like it anyway.
Personally, I think it smells more like a summer scent then a winter scent.
And yes, I really like this one as well.

40 kr/ 3.50 £/ 5 $

Some of Lush's websites:
lush.co.uk
lush.com

You've Been Mangoed solid bath oil:
uk.lush.com/products/luxury-bath-oils/youve-been-mangoed
Peeping Santa bubble bar:
(Since this is a x-mas product, Lush doesn't sell it right now)

And that was all of my Lush stuff!
I did have the Fizzbanger bath bomb before, but I have used it now...
But that one smelled really good as well.
Btw, do you like the white background?
Or do you prefer the other background that I had before?
Make sure to comment which one you like the most.
That was everything for now, so stay tuned for my next post:)

DIY Hair tie/ Scrunchie!!!

Hi!
My very first DIY!
It's a hair scrunchie, and it's the first one I've made, so it's not the best!
But I'm happy with it:)

 1. Start of by taking some kind of felt/fabric and cut
off a bit, you can also take a pair off old tights and cut off a bit (as I did on the picture), then you won't have to sew it together, at the ends.

2. Next, take a elastic piece of band and sew it together at the end, to make the shape you can see on the picture.

3. Take the elastic band you sewed together, and place it around the fabric, as seen on the picture.
(Remember to have the fabric inside out when putting the band on it)

4. To make this all easier, use pins to make the elastic band stay in it's place.
5. Now fold it, so that the band is inside and pin a little above the band, as seen on the picture ---->
6. I started sewing at the top, as you can see, and it doesn't really matter how you do it.
When you've done that, you can sew down what you just sewed to the fabric, so that it looks more professional.
(Do you see the face I "accidently" made?)

7. (Optional) Now, if you want too, you can do cross stitches on it, to make it a little more interesting.

8. And, your done!!
Please comment and let me know what I can do, to make my posts better!
Hope you have had a good day so far, and stay tuned for the next post!<3

2015 Favourites!

Today's post is all about my favourites from 2015!
I have 12 different favourites from 2015, and I will do reviews on some of these products, so comment which one you would like to see first!

BEAUTY:

 1. My first favourite thing of 2015 is without a doubt this babylips!
This babylips is in cherry me, and is my favourite babylips ever!
I will probably do a review on this btw!

 2. My next favourite, is this lipgloss by Viva La Diva in the shade 17 romance.
I've actually done a review on this, Click here to go to the review!
I really like the packaging and the minty scent of this, and this lip gloss isn't that sticky, which I like.

HAIR AND SKINCARE:

3.I only have one hair favourite, which is this conditioner from Lush!
It smells good and makes my hair feel clean and light-weight:)

4. This make-up remover works very well, but is kind of like a lotion as well.
Yes, I don't really have anything more to say about it, it's just very good:)

 5. This is a hand cream by I love.. which I love!
They have loads of different products and scents, but this one is in mango and papaya.
I find that this hand cream doesn't really soak in to my skin properly, but I love it anyway, because it's my favourite scent by I love!

6. I love all of my body butters from the body shop, but especially this one! (I will be uploading a post
about all of my the body shop things soon!)
This one is in coconut, and it smells amazing!

7. This is the best top coat I've ever used! Many nail art youtubers have talked about it, so I got it and it's a real good top coat.
Actually, before I used this, I didn't find painting my nails fun!
8. This nail polish is one of H&Ms new nail polishes.
They have got loads of different colours and the one I got is called purple aura.
It dries so fast and looks really pretty.
JEWELLERY:

9. My next favourite is this necklace with an A on it.
It's just simple and also (A is for awesome;)! No, but you can actually get any letter of the alphabet as a necklace.
I have an A because it's my first letter of my name.
But they do have BFF necklaces as well.

10. This is a flower necklace which I got for x-mas.
I think it's really pretty and I just love it!
OTHER STUFF:
11. For my birthday I got this Ariana Grande album, and I really love her music and she is my favourite artist also!

12. And my last favourite for now is this book.
I got this a while back and I read it and loved it!
It is about a girl and her best friend, that love each other and can't do anything without each other.
They have a long summer holiday planned ahead of them, but then, her best friend disappears....

Ok, I hope you liked my 2015 favourites, I spend a lot of time on it:)
